The center includes an Outdoor Climbing & Rappelling Tower, Indoor Climbing Wall, Ping Pong & Foosball Tables, Volleyball Court and Basketball Hoops. To make a Climbing Wall reservation please click here.
C.O.P.E. is short for “Project COPE”, “Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience”.
A series of physical obstacles and challenges that require a team effort. Your team’s mission, should they choose to accept it, is to work as a team to overcome these challenges. None of the obstacles can be completed by one person alone, so each team member must evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the others in order to succeed.

Parts ‘A’ and ‘B’ must be filled out from the form above. Please include a parent’s signature for any youth participants. Forms will not be kept by the staff.
The Range has 8 shooting positions, and bows for both youth and adults. The Range is open during limited times/weekends due to weather and Campmaster availability. A fee of $2 per person can be paid upon check in at camp.

The Compass Course was created by Bronx Unit, Ship 544 for scouts of all ages. It covers most of our camp and takes about 2 hours to complete. You can pickup a copy of the course at the Alpine Trading Post. You will need a compass.

The Alpine Scout Camp “Red Dot Trail”
The trail is about 5 miles long and covers the camp's near-600 acres. Walking the trail requires a good pair of hiking boots. You will be crossing small streams and stepping over logs. Be sure to use the Buddy System when you head out for your hike!!
Just outside of camp is the Palisades Interstate Park. It offers hiking trails and scenic views of both New York City and the Hudson River. Units are invited to seek appropriately lengthed hikes. Many hike the Long Path on one day overnight with us and return via the Shore Trail to New York City. Some sections of the trails include steep and slightly challenging terrain. Again, Buddy System please!!
During the Month of June the Pool is open to visiting units. Alpine Scout Camp provides a qualified lifeguard staff. Prescheduling is required. Parts A & B of the BSA Medical Form are required. A fee of $5 per person can be paid upon check in at camp.
Swimming tests will be administered under National BSA Aquatics Standards.
