This flyer is required for any unit attending camp from outside the Greater New York Councils. The Acrobat PDF format will enable you to print out an exact copy of the roster form, fill it out by hand, and bring it to camp.
Pre-Camp Use If you have not yet done so, all units must pay $100 for their campsite reservation. (Note: If your unit is a longstanding Pack, you most probably completed this form last year. If you are unsure as to whether or not your unit has reserved its campsite, check with Camping Services at camping@bsa-gnyc.org or by calling 212-651-2954.)
One of the first forms you will need to complete, by March 31st all packs are required to complete this form indicating the preliminary number of Cubs who will be attending Camp this summer. Along with this form, units must remit a $25 deposit per Cub who is expected to attend. This $25/Cub is non-refundable, but is transferable as a deposit for another Cub.
Cub Scout Camp is still, by far, a tremendous "bang for your buck." But we know that regardless, every little bit of financial assistance helps. Cub World is again offering an Early-Bird Discount Incentive Program for Packs who complete this process and form (only 1 form is to be completed per unit.) For every Cub who is paid in full by May 31st, that Scout will receive a $10 per session/$20 per week reduction in the camp fee.
Speedy Pre-Check-In Prior to Camp Avoid the Lines! Avoid the Hassle! Speedy Check-In and Speedy Refunds! With the number of units and Scouts attending camp increasing each summer, the check-in process at camp has become more and more time consuming. Your first day at camp should be spent helping your Scouts settle into a smooth routine, not sitting in a crowded office trying to figure the outstanding balance of your camp fees and contacting parents about omissions on medical forms. If your check-in has always been speedy and smooth,
then feel free to continue to check-in as you have in the past. But
if, like many unit leaders, you feel worn out at the end of your
check-in ordeal, please consider taking advantage of our new
pre-registration opportunities. Come to the Council Service Center at the Empire State Build on the Tuesday prior to your unit's arrival at camp, and meet with a Camping Services Representative to complete your unit's check-in. Representatives will be available from 9:00 AM until 6:45 PM. At that time, you can:
To Be Submitted At Camp
Summer Camp Roster No need to wait until Sunday of your check-in at camp to complete your unit roster. Download the TMR Unit Roster here, and complete it prior to arriving at camp. It is available in both Adobe Acrobat and MS Word formats. Please Note: Units are permitted to submit a roster that is generated from their Troop Management Software (Troopmaster, etc.), so as to avoid re-typing information that is already available, as long as all the information requested on the standard GNYC Roster is represented on the roster being submitted.
Anyone spending more then 24 hours in camp must have a completed medical form.
