Akela's Village/Webelos Village

Outdoor skills are taught to Cub Scouts and Webelos in an age specific manner. Cubs learn the basics of knots, fire lays and outdoor cooking, as well as some Indian Lore. Webelos will also learn Basic First Aid, pioneering, and will have the opportunity to spend a night camping away from their Pack, in a different part of the camp, as part of their growth towards independence, and in preparation for Boy Scouting. Special activities for Webelos in past years have included rocketry, soapbox derbies, and geocaching.

What better place to explore our sensitive environment and its living creatures than the Nature Lodge? Discover the secrets of the various plants and animals found right here in Alpine. The collection of animals on-site allow the campers to get up close and personal with a large array of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, geckos, scorpions, and tarantulas.
